JOB SUMMARY:
Location: Atlantis, Cape Town
Function: Operations

Overall responsibility:  Operate and maintain defined equipment, machinery, and related process under supervision in order to achieve optimal effectiveness.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Main responsibilities (included but not limited to)

  • Record waste and movement of products on the appropriate documentation or information systems
  • Operate machines and equipment according to the work instructions under supervision
  • Carry out the required quality checks and analyses, and record the results on the appropriate information system
  • Carry out autonomous operations as defined for the process areas
  • Assisting the Supervisor in executing running repairs on shift
  • Adhere to food safety-related rules and activities as per factory instructions

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Matric i(Technical or with Maths/Science preferred)
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • Preferably come from a Food / FMCGenvironment

Skills/Competencies Required:

  • Eager to learn
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment
  • Willing to work shifts assigned according to the schedule
  • Work in teams
  • Good Record Keeping
  • Must be able to carry out basic machine maintenance
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
