  • Our recruitment team will contact you should any suitable opportunity arise.

Please note that all our onboard crew jobs require you to have valid STCW95 certification (compulsory seafarer certification valid worldwide). Contact your official port authorities for a list of recognised centres issuing this certificate.

REGISTERING FOR AN ACCOUNT

You need to register an account to make an application, whether you want to apply for a vacancy or want to introduce yourself. Carefully complete all sections in the application procedure to have the greatest chance of success. At the end of the application process, you may be asked to take one or several online tests and could be invited to a video interview.

Please note that you need to finalise your application and online tests/interview within 2 weeks, otherwise your account will be closed and we will not be able to take your application further.

Once you have registered with us your personal profile, you will automatically be considered for all relevant vacancies and will be able to modify and update your profile at any time.

APPLICATION STATUS AND PERSONAL DATA

Successful application

– if your application is successful, your profile is recorded on the Careers Website for 6 months from the date of the application. Three weeks before the 6-month period expires, we will send you an e-mail and you will be able to either delete your profile or allow us to keep your personal data for further 6 months. Should you not react to the e-mail, your profile will be deleted in any case.

•Application closed by a recruiter

– if your application is not retained by our recruiters, you will not be allowed to apply for the same vacancy for 6 months. However, you can apply for any other suitable vacancy after 48 hours.

Your profile is recorded on the Careers Website for a period of 6 months from the date of the application. Three weeks before the 6-months period expires, we will send you an e-mail and you will be able to either delete your profile or allow us to keep your personal data for further 6 months. If you start a new application process, the 6-month period during which we retain your information will start again. Should you not react to the e-mail, your profile will be automatically deleted.

•Application closed by the system

– if your application is automatically closed by the system because you regretfully failed to meet the process deadlines or you failed the English test (for crew vacancies only), you will not be able to apply for any other vacancy for a period of 3 months.

Your profile is recorded on the Careers Website for 3 months from the date of the application. Three weeks before the 3-month period expires, we will send you an e-mail and you will be able to either delete your profile or allow us to keep your personal data for further 6 months. If you start a new application process, the 6-month period during which we retain your information will start again. Should you not react to the e-mail, your profile will be automatically deleted.

DELETING YOUR DATA/PROFILE

•Application / Profile deleted by the candidate

– At any time you may delete your profile/application by clicking on Delete your profile/application on your account. Once your profile has been deleted, you will not be able to apply for any other vacancy for a period of 3 months. To ensure the respect of this timing, we will keep your name, surname, e-mail address and the vacancy you applied for, for 3 months. However, during this period of time, your data is only stored in the back-end of the system and is not accessible by all MSC recruiters accessing the Careers Website. At the end of this period, your data will be fully deleted.

You should be wary of any recruitment agency or job posting that asks for upfront money online on the promise that you will be contacted with MSC Cruises. They are frauds. 

We are working very closely with our IT security teams to ensure those email addresses are shut down to prevent more victims. However, if you believe you have been contacted by one of these fraudsters and received a “too good to be true” opportunity from what appears to be MSC Cruises, please notify us “here”.
