The Gold Circle was formed from a merger of three of South Africa’s racing clubs: Clairwood Turf Club, Pietermaritzburg Turf Club and Durban Turf Club. Gold Circle is inviting prospective learners to apply for their bursaries for the 2023 academic year.
The bursary will be given to Diploma, Degree and Certificate Studies, which are needed for Gold Circle’s operations. Students with good academic records with little financial means are being called to apply. gold. Circle’s goal is to assist South African Youth in leading to job motivation, creation and advancement.
Expenses covered by the Gold Circle bursary
- Tuition fees
- Registration fees
- Prescribed textbooks
Requirements for the Gold circle bursary:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Between the age of 15 to 35 years
- Should have completed Matric
- Minimum overall average of 65% in Matric
- Must have been accepted to or already studying at a recognised Institution in South Africa
- If you are already studying, you must have obtained a minimum result of 65% in the course in the previous years or semesters.
- Applicant must be in financial need.
Criteria for non-employees of Gold Circle
- Your gross family income must not be more than R180 000 per year
- Provide evidence of financial challenges experienced
- Disadvantaged individuals from designated groups (Black, Coloureds, Indians and Africans), even people with disabilities who form part of Gold Circle’s Transformation strategy
Criteria for child or ward of an employee of Gold Circle or its subsidiaries:
- The employee must have an income of not more than R180 000 per year
- The employee must have been employed for a minimum duration of 1 year without a break
- Evidence of financial challenges must be given
Non-employees will have the following extra requirements:
- ID card
- Statement of results of matric certificate
- Academic record, including recent transcripts if already studying
- Acceptance proof on Institution letterhead
- Proof of residence
- Current bank statements for three months
- Proof of income
- A motivational letter stating why you should get the bursary
- Letter of reference
- Parents or guardians or spouse ID Card
- Spouse, parents or guardians’ proof of income
- Recent bank statements of spouse, parents or guardians going back three months
- Parents or guardians’ death certificate if they are deceased
- Parents or guardians’ certificate if they are divorced
- Affidavit from a parent you live with if they are separated
