Mzansi Warms Up To Katlego Maboe’s SAFTAs Nomination
Despite bad publicity that has soiled his image, disgraced media and television personality, Katlego Maboe appears to hold a special spot in a lot of South Africans’ hearts.
Following news of his nomination at this year’s edition of South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) in the best television presenter category, the online community is overwhelmingly showing support to the tv presenter.
His fall from grace ensued the emergence of a video in which he was admitting that he had infected his now estranged wife with an STI after cheating while on a business trip.
The issue dominated the headlines late last year resulting in Maboe losing his spot as SABC3’s Expresso presenter.
However, regardless of the disgrace, it appears Maboe is a serious contender along side Palesa Tembe, Dineo Ranaka, Entle Bizane, Devi Sankaree Govender, Waldimar Pelser and Katchie Nzama whom he has been nominated together with.
