SABC 2 Afrikaans soapie, will now be broadcast three times a week, Mondays to Wednesdays at 18h00 starting on the 5th of April 2021.
The fate of Muvhango has been in the wind for a while, amid rumors the show was being axed.
However at the time, the mother channel of Muvhango, SABC, denied the rumors through acting spokesperson Mmoni Seapolelo who said it wasn’t true
“The SABC disputes the allegation that Muvhango has been canned. All SABC programmes are subjected to evaluation based on a number of factors, including audience ratings, associated costs and relevance to the market,” said Seapolelo.
“To this effect, the SABC is pleased to have signed a new contract for Muvhango for another season. Our viewers can look forward to watching their favourite programme on SABC 2.”
Now it seems viewers will see less and less of Muvhango and hopefully not the last of it.
