Senior Internal Auditor (Financial and Support Services)
Reporting to the Senior Internal Auditor, the job is based at the Chiadzwa and is responsible for the following
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the formulation of risk based internal audit plan and any subsequent revisions thereon
- Assess for adequacy and effectiveness the organization governance , risk management and internal control system as they pertain to the Technical/Core business of the organization
- Objectively assess the company’s business processes and proffer value-adding recommendations
- Reviewing of ZCDC `s operation against strategic business plans for compliance , adequacy and effectiveness
- Performing ad-hoc requests and consulting engagement as assigned
- Preparation of audit reports , communicating the findings and recommendations
- Providing a supporting role ro financial and information systems audits in order to provide reasonable assurance that internal controls , governance structures and risk management in these areas are effective and adequate
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A degree in Metallurgical Engineering /mining Engineering or Geology from a recognized university
- At least 3 years experience in a mining environment post qualification in the respective field
- Experience in Consultancy /internal audit or quality assurance (QA) is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems
Internal Auditor
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the information of risk based internal audit plan and any subsequent revisions thereon
- Assess for adequacy and effectiveness the organization governance , risk management and internal control systems.
- Objectively assess the companies ERP and /or business processes and proffer value `adding recommendations
- Develop audit work plans which will include engagement objectives , scope , timing and resources allocations
- Reviewing of ZCDC operations against strategic business plans and continuity plans for compliance and effectiveness
- Performing ad-hoc requests and consulting engagements as assigned
- Preparation of audit reports , communicating the findings and recommendation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A degree in Accounting from a recognised university
- Sap certification on Audit Information System (AIS) and either Financial Reporting (FR) or Costing (CO)
- Professional qualification such as ACCA/CA (Z)/ ICAEW / CIMA is an added advantage
- At least of 5 years post qualification experience of which three should be in consultancy
- Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems
Senior Internal Auditor (Technical)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participating in the development of the Annual Internal Audit Plan using an appropriate objective-centric risk-based methodology
- Leading a team of Auditors in the designing , testing and reporting on the effectiveness , adequacy and efficiency of governance , risk management and internal controls over systems in the technical operations of the organization in accordance with the international professional standard on internal auditing and the company’s Internal Audit StandardOperating Procedures
- Development of audit work plans which will include engagement objectives scope , timing and resources allocations
- Reviewing of ZCDC`s operations against strategic business plans and business continuity plans for compliance and effectiveness
- Performing special investigations , ad-hoc requests and consulting engagement as assigned
- Conducting risk assessments related specific engagements and advice managements as assigned
- Providing a supporting role to Financial and Information Systems audits in order to provide reasonable assurance that internal controls , governance structures and risk management in those areas are effective and adequate
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A degree in Metallurgical Engineering / Mining Engineering or Geology from a recognised university
- At least five (5) years post internship experience in a mining environment in the respective field
- At least 2 years experience in consultancy /internal Audit or Quality Assurance (QA) at an intermediate or senior level
- Experience in mining industry will be an added advantage
- Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems
