UNICEF Consultant to support with development

Qualified Zimbabwe’s  are invited to fill in the vacant post of Consultant to support with development to be based in Harare.

Qualification:

  • Advanced degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Behavior Change Communication, Engineering or another relevant technical field
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience working in the WASH and/or Education sectors
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in developing countries
  • Demonstrated experience supporting government-led approaches in WASH in Schools programming, policy guidance, strategy formulation and capacity development
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder consultations
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing policies, strategies and roadmaps
  • Experience in undertaking similar work on strategy and action plan development in the WASH and/or Education sectors
  • Proven skills in preparing and communicating high quality documents and reports for policy advocacy and programming
  • Bachelors degree with over 15 years of professional experience will be considered for selection in lieu of master’s degree.
  • Experience working in the WASH and/or Education sectors in Zimbabwe
  • Familiarity with UNICEF mission, mandate and WASH program.

UNICEF Individual Consultant to identify bottlenecks 

Qualification:

  • Advanced university degree in public health, social sciences, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience at national and international levels, including field experience and expertise in adolescent programming.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the development and piloting of tools/materials
  • Technical field experience with data collection and pathway analytics would be an asset
  • Experience working in Zimbabwe will be an asset
  • Techinical experience in the area of GBV and SRHR
  • Experience working in related field in Eastern and Southern Africa, is desirable
  • Knowledge of a local language will be an added advantage.

UNICEF Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant

Qualification:

  • Advanced University degree M&E, Statistics, Operations Research, social sciences, development planning, or related.
  • At least 5 years professional experience required in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of Project and Activity Evaluation.
  • Professional technical knowledge/expertise in Data Collection, Evaluation Process Management, Dissemination of M&E results.
  • Technical knowledge on M&E methodologies, theories, standards and models, quantitative/qualitative/mixed methods, validity/reliability testing of data, data analysis and interpretation, and statistical inference methods.
  • Experience working in a multi stakeholder environment and under tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of main local languages (Shona and Ndebele) is an asset.
