BSS Developer – Econet Wireless Zimbabwe
Duties And Responsibilities
- Diagnose, Support and Develop solutions through debate and discussion.
- Deliver the technical design and development of screen personalization, workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements for the ERP system.
- Diagnose, Support and Develop solutions through debate and discussion Setups up Operating Systems environments for database Installations
- Analyses business problems and recommends the best IS solutions to ensure appropriate, effective use and full utilization of up-to-date technology by the organization.
- Install, test, and configure designed or modified ERP components.
- Analyse functional requirements and translate these into technical solutions, and document them
- Assists Application DBA in optimizing and tuning ERP performance where necessary.
Qualification And Experience
- 6 “O” Levels Including Mathematics, Science and English.
- 3 “A” Level passes
- Graduate Degree in Computer Science or any IT related degree
- Experience: Oracle’s SQL and PL/SQL, JAVA, XML Publisher and BI Publisher, Forms, HTML Forms, Reports, Workflows, Oracle Application Framework, Web Logic, JDeveloper or equivalent vocational professional training
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in a similar or related environment.
Enterprise Database Administrator
Duties And Responsibilities
- develops, recommends, enforces, and adheres to database policies and standards, for example policies and procedures on database systems including ERP patching, ERP cloning, high availability, replication, archiving, access, and security
- Develops new standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all databases software installation and configuration including high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Database lock, space management, export and import of the database, performance tuning at DB and apps Level
- Evaluates critical database security issues (content, internal controls, access levels, etc.) and makes recommendations, such as back up, disaster recovery plans and upgrades to new versions of the databases or successor releases.
- Proactively monitors, tests, and reports on database system integrity, security, and compliance measures.
- Researching and evaluating potential solutions by coordinating with functional analysts, developers, and other technology personnel within and outside the organization.
Qualification And Experience
- 6 “O” Levels Including Mathematics, Science and English.
- 3 “A” Level passes Graduate Degree in Computer Science or any IT related degree
- Experience: Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, or equivalent vocational professional training
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in a similar or related environment.

Systems Development Specialist
Duties And Responsibilities
- Acts as liaison between technical and non-technical customers, effectively providing automated solutions to business problems and assisting business units realize business value.
- Guide the process of business value formulation and definition through a Business Case document.
- Facilitate and lead project teams in the business requirements definition and elicitation process.
- Work with the business teams to fully understand their products, and make sure all of their requirements are captured.
- Analyses Key Performance Indicators for all ICT Systems to better understand and advise on potential for business process and performance improvement.
- Create and evaluate proposals under guidance from management to improve the overall efficiency of operations within the business.
Qualification And Experience
- 6 O Levels Including Mathematics, Science, and English
- 2 A Level passes Degree in Business, Engineering, ICT, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Relevant IIBA certifications, Agile BA & Togaf Enterprise architecture certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant Business environment either as a Business Analyst, Commercial / Financial Analyst, or Business Modelling
