SECRETARY – DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WORK (HARARE CAMPUS) X 1 POST
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position which has arisen at the Women’s University in Africa, FACULTY OF SOCIAL AND GENDER TRANSFORMATIVE SCIENCES.
The Secretary will report to the Faculty Senior Assistant Registrar.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Typing and correcting Departmental documents;
- Capturing students marks;
- Attending to telephone enquiries;
- Photocopying Departmental documents;
- Capturing minutes of meetings
- Filing Departmental documents; and
- Performing any other duties as delegated by the Faculty Senior Assistant Registrar.
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Office Management from a recognised examination board;
- Higher National Diploma in Office Management is an added advantage;
- Five (5) O’ Levels including English Language; and
Experience
At least one (1) year experience in conducting secretarial duties in a reputable organisation.

LECTURER – DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND HEALTH SCIENCES (HARARE CAMPUS) X 1
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position which has arisen at the Women’s University in Africa, FACULTY OF SOCIAL AND GENDER TRANSFORMATIVE SCIENCES.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting in the teaching of Midwifery, Health Services Management and Palliative Care courses;
- Oversee/ supervise students’ lab and clinical practice;
- Demonstrate and teach patient care in classroom and clinical units of hospital;
- Orient students to the clinical area, and demonstrate proper procedures; and
- Performing any duties assigned by the Department Chairperson.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Philosophy in Health Sciences;
- Master of Science in Health Sciences;
- Bachelor of Science Honours in Nursing Sciences; and
- Midwifery Qualification.
Experience
- At least two (2) years’ experience in lecturing at a University level; or
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Clinical Instructor; and
- A self-starter who can work under pressure with minimum supervision.

- Bachelor of Science in Sociology/ Psychology/ Gender Studies/ Development Studies/ Disaster and Risk Studies or closely related Social Science discipline.
