Masechaba Ndlovu Becomes A Qualified Sangoma
Media personality, Masechaba Ndlovu decided to accept her ancestral calling and now she is a qualified sangoma.
Masechaba Ndlovu’s announcement follows after TV host Luyanda Potwana also revealed that he accepted his Ancestral calling, but he is still in the Thwasa stage
“You know me as a South African television host. However, this is a side of me that is unknown to the public. My ancestral spiritual calling. After all, I am my ancestors – and my ancestors are me! I kept this away from social media, not because I was ashamed of it – I just wanted to walk the journey quietly. However it is now time to reintroduce myself.”
Masechaba Ndlovu followed in next to announce that she is now also a qualified sangoma, after she once hinted back in 2019 that she was on her Thwasa journey.
Masechaba took to Instagram to announce the news saying
“A fresh start isn’t a new place, it’s a new mindset.”
Masechaba Ndlovu undertook her training under the famous gobela, Gogo Dineo.
However Masechaba’s announcement didn’t go down so well, as some blasted her for sharing too much information on the matter.
She was reprimanded by some who said such journeys and information should be kept private to which Masechaba replied
“You are right, however, just because it’s sacred does not mean it has to be a secret.”
She joins a growing list of celebrities who have also answered their calling like Boity Thulo, who came out in 2016 saying
“Yes I did go thwasa but I’m not going to practice as a sangoma. This is a very sensitive matter that I don’t want to talk about in the media. It’s a personal matter and way too deep to be reduced into a celebrity gossip in the newspaper. It’s a secret. It’s so much deeper,”
