This is an exciting opportunity to join an impact-led, growing company as a key part of our sales team in Zimbabwe. Namene Solar Zimbabwe is currently seeking a Regional Sales Supervisor (full-time position) to be based in Marondera. The Regional Supervisor will be directly responsible for planning, executing, and managing sales of solar lights and other new products in the province they will be responsible for. This is an exciting, fast-paced role with management responsibilities covering many aspects of the sales process.

Role and responsibilities:

– manage Namene Solar operations in the province in an appropriate and cost-effective manner. This includes formulating and carrying out operational plans, setting timely targets and managing employee performance.
– financial responsibilities: Manage provincial budgets and prepare forecasts.
– recruit, train and supervise regional staff including lead sales agents and sales agents on collecting and reporting data for the project certification and sales of lights.
– provide local quality control in data collection and management for projects in the region.
– lead on project awareness and identifying opportunities for project expansion
– lead generation and product sales for lights and other products in the province.
– assist with distribution projections for the province and sales pitch

Skills and experience:

– minimum of a bachelor’s degree in sales, business admin, or a related discipline or relevant experience.
– substantial full-time working experience in Zimbabwe, ideally in areas – – – related to logistics, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), energy or sustainability
– experience line managing employees and staff training
– experience in project management, including resource management and reporting
– experience in budget planning, management, control and reporting
– proven work experience as Regional Sales Supervisor or similar role
– problem solver, able to optimise processes with great initiative and capacity to work independently and with limited supervision
– experience working in a hybrid work environment (in-office and remote) and in reporting to the head office
