Following the death of Zimdancehall chanter, Soul Musaka, who is also known as Soul Jah Love, individuals and music producers have been barred from releasing over 100 songs that were yet to be released.

The Anchor, reports that Soul Jah Love had over 100 songs on his phone which were stolen on the day that he died.

The memory card which had the unreleased songs was never recovered when the phone was recovered in Mbare the next day.

The chanter’s family has engaged the services of Harare lawyer Conwell Muteve to ensure that music producers and other individuals do not continue releasing the songs after the song ” Ndichafa Rinhi” was released barely 24 hours after the star’s death announcement.

The Anchor reports that Muteve said:

“Soul Jah Love’s phone was stolen on the day of his untimely death but was later recovered in Mbare. It is unfortunate that there was a memory card with more than 100 unreleased songs that was stolen. We never recovered it.”

“We have since released a warning to the public and now we will engage producers to stop releasing his music. He (Soul Jah Love)has two siblings who will be benefiting from the songs.”

Musaka was declared a provincial hero by President Mnangagwa following his untimely death last week. He was 31.

He was buried at the Warren Hills cemetery over the weekend, where thousands of his fans, friends, and relatives attended his burial amid the current Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.

However, his family is reported to be divided over inheritance issues. The publication reports that some of the late musician’s relatives were engaged in a fistfight as they fought over his clothes and other belongings.
