24-year-old Mpumalanga actress; Cindy Mahlangu has been making waves over the past couple of months since she got her big break on The Herd.
From her first Netflix role as Zama Bolton on Blood&Water 1&2 to her ETV’s Scandal role as Violetta and her return as Siyanda on Mzansi Magic’s The Queen.
The actress has been killing every role since the Herd ended, by remaining relevant, taking risks, and shying away from shading anyone on social media.
The rising star’s return on The Queen was particularly unexpected as she’s currently playing Violetta on Scandal as well.
In real life, the actress is very shy and reserved in person and nothing like the characters she portrays on-screen. Mahlangu is a qualified accountant and a part-time model when she’s not entertaining us on our television screens. The actress plays Siyanda: a waitress who just stumbled upon a lot of money on the show quit her waitressing job and went on a shopping spree.
Her character has grown, unlike the previous season where she was depending on her baby-daddy for everything and waiting for Kagiso Khoza to rescue her from her financial woes.
It turns out the money she found at the restaurant belongs to Dollar (a drug dealer) on The Queen.
She lied to her best friend; Schumacher about where she got the money and it’s only a matter of time till everyone finds out the truth about the money as she can barely stay in one place.
From buying a car, eating out daily, drinking expensive champagne and throwing money around, it seems that Siyanda will soon land in trouble!

Funny enough, she stole Dollar’s money on The Queen and the actor who plays that role is her on-screen husband on Scandal as Mamba.
It seems like the actress attracts the same typecast; troublemaking roles wherever she goes.
She’s causing just as much chaos on Scandal as Violetta as she does on The Queen as Siyanda. Tensions are rising on Scandal as she’s her affair with her husband’s accountant is about to be blown up.
