
Eskom is inviting prospective students to apply for the Electrical Engineering Bursary Programme.
Fields of study to be covered by the bursary
BEng or BSc Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
Eskom Bursary Applicants Requirements:
- You have to be studying towards a BEng or a BSc degree in Heavy Current Electrical Engineering
- You must be in your third or fourth year of studies in 2023
- You have to be a student at a recognised and accredited University in South Africa
- You must have excellent communication skills
- You have to be safety conscious
- You have to be able to understand the technical concept
- You have to have self-discipline and a conscientious approach
- You must be committed and responsible
- You should be able to perform physical work
- You should be emotionally resilient
- Have a positive attitude towards work
- You have to be good at teamwork
- Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply for the bursary

Documents that are required
You have to submit certified and clear copies of the following documentation with your application online:
Identity Card document (certified copy)
Proof of University registration on the school’s letterhead
Academic record, including the recent results (certified copy)
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted 28 days after the application closing date. If you do not get any feedback by 28 days, your application will not have been successful.
