Dimakatso Ratselane Stabbed By Husband, Left In Critical Condition

In chilling news, popular Lesedi FM host Dimakatso Ratselane is said to be in a critical condition after being stabbed.

Dimakatso Ratselane was allegedly stabbed by her husband, who is now at large.

According to the police, the popular radio presenter and her husband were travelling from their home in Mandela View, Mangaung to pick up their kids when the incident occurred.

It is believed that the couple started arguing on the road and ended up at an informal settlement known as Dinaweng.

Community members reportedly found Dimakatso in a critical condition near Bra-White’s tavern around midnight.

She was bleeding and showed signs of suffering multiple stab wounds.

Ratselane was then taken to Pelonomi Hospital.

The police confirmed the crime and said a manhunt has since been launched for the suspect, it is just a matter of time before he is caught.

She was found in a bad state and could not even speak. A case of attempted murder was opened at Kagisanong police station. The hunt for the suspect started immediately. The suspect is still at large, but it will not be long before he finds himself behind bars. An investigation is also being conducted by the police.

SABC SADDENED BY A GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE INCIDENT CONCERNING ONE OF ITS STAFF MEMBERS

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is saddened by the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) incident concerning one of its female news employee based in the Free State.

The SABC wishes to express outrage and condemns the incident with the contempt it deserves. The Corporation views the horrendous incident as one of the enormous threats to the right to life, family stability, social progress, women advancement and productivity in the workplace.

The SABC wishes the concerned employee a speedy recovery and will provide all the necessary support.

As a public service broadcaster, the SABC remains an important institution for empowering citizens with valuable information, to create awareness regarding various social ills including the intractable and atrocious Gender-Based Violence.

The SABC is committed to continuing playing its critical role in heightening citizen vigilance and consciousness in this matter.
