Currently Open: UNISA Masters And Doctoral Applications
The University of South Africa (Unisa) has announced that master’s and Doctoral qualifications will remain open until 14 November 2022. However, some exceptions apply.
All students interested in pursuing master’s or Doctoral qualifications may apply for admission. This includes those who previously registered master’s and Doctoral students who did not register for the 2022 academic year and now wish to continue their studies.
Students may apply for one qualification at master’s and Doctoral level. Therefore, it is important that students ensure they meet the minimum admission requirements for their chosen qualification before applying.
Those applying for admission to a Graduate School of Business Leadership (GSBL) qualification, will need to apply for a Unisa student number unless they previously studied at Unisa towards a formal qualification. An online application process may be done to apply for GSBL qualifications.
Students are encouraged to apply for a Unisa student number (if applicable), apply for admission, and upload all the necessary supporting documents during the application period. The Unisa website outlines how to apply for a qualification and student number.
Applicants will have 10 working days to upload all the supporting documents during the application period. If all the documents are not submitted within the timeframe, the application will be declined, and students will need to wait until the next application period to reapply.

Only students whose application was approved, and re-registering students will be allowed to register online within the approved registration period for the 2023 academic year. Those with outstanding fees or a Library block on their accounts will not be allowed to register until the issues have been resolved.
