The current UNICEF-Government of Zimbabwe Country Programme of Cooperation (2016-2020) aims to support Zimbabwe to sustain and build upon the gains achieved for children during the 2012-2015 Country Programme of Cooperation. The programme focuses on improving the quality of social services, increasing access to services, and helping to build national and sub-national capacities to provide low-cost, high-impact interventions for all children, especially the most vulnerable.

How can you make a difference?

The Zimbabwe Country Office is a large country programme which operates in a challenging and sensitive economic and political environment. The office handles complex funding modalities managing funds on behalf of donors, such as the Health Development Fund, the Education Development Fund and the Child Protection Fund, which support unconventional programming needs and processes. The incumbent is expected to exhibit a high level of maturity and set high-quality objectives to deliver results ensuring efficient administrative services and effective financial management and adequate internal control practices to support the complex programmatic needs under the general guidance of the Deputy Representative – Operations.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

An advanced university degree (Master’s) in Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management, Economics, or a directly-related technical field(s) is required.

Experience:

A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience, at a national and international level, in finance, accounting and/or administration is required.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.  Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is considered an asset.
