Big Zulu To Demand Money From Companies That Did Imali Eningi Challenge

Barely a week after Master KG indicated that he will be issuing out invoices to the companies that participated in the viral Jerusalema challenge, one of the finest Mzansi singers of all time fondly known as Big Zulu has followed suit, citing he will be demanding money from companies that used his viral track Imali Eningi in their adverts.

Through the Southern African Music Organization otherwise known as SAMRO, the artists have indicated they will not leave any stone unturned as they recover their dues.

Born Siyabonga Nene, the Zuluman sang about wishing to make money in his viral song Imali Eningi and from the look of things his prayers have been answered.

Judging from a number of tweets on the Twitter platform, many companies in South Africa took part in the viral challenge. In the same vein, Metro FM hip-hop producer Rashid Kay had earlier on encouraged Big Zulu to contact SAMRO and claim royalties.

“Big Zulu did you hear? SAMRO says all these companies, production houses, soccer teams… are gonna pay for using those songs for #ImaliEningiChallenge #JerusalemaChallenge.” he said.

What is not known by many in Mzansi is that Big Zulu did not start as a musician but he was a taxi driver until 2008 when he finally decided to start music.

Recently, social media was set ablaze after it was revealed that invoices will be issued out to companies that participated in the Jerusalema Challenge.
