MARKETING OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing business development products;
Developing marketing campaigns for the business development department;
Selling of Business development SBU’s products;
Test marketing products for commercialisation;
Building relationships with stake holders;
Assisting in business proposal writing;
Conducting marketing surveys;
Creating and developing new innovative ways to communicate the University’s marketing messages to its stakeholder using physical digital channels (e.g. twitter, website, brochure, posters, pamphlets etc.)
Preparing monthly expenditure reports of promotion events and all types of expenses involved in marketing the University product;
Gathering market intelligence and analysing results in relation to marketing plans;
Evaluating the effectiveness of all marketing activity;
Assisting with strategic planning and
Any other duties as assigned by the Director.

FACTORY SUPERVISOR

Duties and Responsibilities

Managing and controlling quality of the textile and clothing factory;
Preparing of factory budgets;
Supervising members of staff at the factory;
Providing weekly reports to the management;
Ensuring the safe use of equipment and scheduling regular maintenance;
Checking production output according to specifications;
Submitting reports on performance and progress;
Training new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures;
Enforcing strict safety guidelines and company standards;
Any other related duties as assigned by the Director.

FACTORY DESIGNER

Duties and Responsibilities

Designing various apparel items;
Clarifying and solving design issues;
Investigating appropriate materials and production processes;
Producing sketches and sample designs;
Testing product designs using models, prototypes, specialist computer software and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Technology;
Maintaining an awareness of current design trends and influences;
Liaising with sales, marketing and production departments;
Correcting product faults;
Presenting designs, samples and final work to customers for evaluation; and
Any other duties assigned by the Director.

STORES OFFICER

Qualifications

Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or equivalent plus at least two (2) years relevant experience with experience in inventory management. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. University experience would be an added advantage.

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANTS

Qualifications

Applicants must have at least a National Diploma or a Higher National Diploma in Accounting. Possession of a first degree in Accounting and knowledge of Pastel Accounting would be added advantage. The applicant should have at least one (1) year relevant experience in Accounting. University work experience is also an added advantage.

CONTRACT OFFICER

Qualifications

Applicants must have at least a Diploma in Agriculture. Knowledge of traditional grains and poultry farming is a must. In addition, applicants must have at least 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language. University experience would be added advantage.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Qualifications

The Business Development Manager reports to the Director Business Development. The ideal candidate must have at least a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Marketing and Marketing Strategy or Management of Business Administration and a first degree in the related field. Applicants should have at least three (3) years’ experience in business management. The applicant must have experience in sales, marketing or related field with strong communication skills. University experience would be an added advantage.

GRADUATE TRAINEE IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess a degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field. In addition, applicants must have strong interest in software engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, good communication skills and a positive attitude and willing to take on new challenges

HOSPITALITY, TOURISM AND CULTURE-FOREIGN LANGUAGE

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must hold a Doctoral Degree in Languages, a relevant language Master’s Degree and a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in French, proof of proficiency in French or other related foreign language. The applicant must be able to teach all French-related modules. Applicants who can show some progress towards acquiring a relevant Doctoral Degree may be considered. Teaching experience at tertiary or University level is mandatory. Possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be an added advantage. Successful applicants without a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be required to obtain the same within the first three (3) years of appointment

LECTURER / SENIOR LECTURER / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / PROFESSOR

HOSPITALITY, TOURISM AND CULTURE (3 POSTS)

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must hold a Doctoral Degree in Hospitality and Tourism, a Master’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism or equivalent and a relevant first degree with at least a 2.1 degree classification. Successful applicants must have teaching experience at tertiary or university level and be able to teach at least two of the following modules: Food and Beverages Preparation 1 and II (practical), Food and Beverages services, Food and Beverages Management, Events management, Sustainable tourism development management, Tourism operations, Regional and international tourism, Hotel management and Innovation and entrepreneurship projects for tourism and hospitality industry. Applicants who can show some progress towards acquiring a relevant Doctoral Degree may be considered. Possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be an added advantage. INNOVATION HUB MANAGER

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Business or other related field from an accredited institution, and demonstrated experience in establishing and running a centre or facility focused on engaging external customers & partners, digital transformation (linking technical and sector knowledge and market insights) and developing partnerships. A minimum of five (5) years’ working experience of which two (2) years’ experience must be in research, innovation and/or management of a business venture;

GRANTS MANAGER | RESEARCH AND INNOVATION [ RESEARCH AND INNOVATION ]

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in any of the following: Information Systems/Technology, STEM, Business Management, Public Affairs, Communications, or any relevant qualification from an accredited institution. Experience in the grant management process, and excellent writing skills are a prerequisite. The ideal candidate must have at least five (5) years administrative experience in grants management.

ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have a relevant first degree in Law, Finance, Business Management or related field from an accredited institute. Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years administrative or related work experience. In addition, applicants must be articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner and proficiency in ICT is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

DRAUGHTSMAN

Applicants must possess Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (HND)/. A Degree in relevant field will be an added advantage.
