Christian Blind Mission (CBM) Zimbabwe is an International Christian disability and development NGO which works in co-operation with local partner institutions complementing government’s development agenda. Inclusive recruitment of staff is a priority for the organisation which seeks to promote meaningful inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of our work.
CBM therefore seeks to hire a qualified person for a one-year internship which will offer full exposure to all aspects of Project Cycle Management under the Support for Adolescent Girls Education (SAGE) project. The SAGE project aims to enrol a total of 21 780 out of school girls based in 11 districts across the country among them being about 1,306 girls with disabilities.
The intern will be expected to perform the following tasks
Provide general administrative support to the programs department; Assist the programs department with tasks pertaining to monitoring of projects and/or other project documentation; Support the programs department in capacity building of CBM Zimbabwe partner organisations in disability inclusive development initiatives; Assist in the development of inclusive material for CBM Zimbabwe’s country office and project partners as needed from time to time; Support the preparation of presentations, reports and other written deliverables as requested; Assist in the planning and coordination of events, meetings, training and ensure follow-up action as requested by the intern’s supervisor; Assist in reviewing statistical and narrative reports; Participate in project meetings.
