Description :

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing all legal contracts,deeds,leases and other legal papers of a routine nature for the company
  • Carrying out conveyance duties on behalf of the company.
  • Researching on relevant statutes,rulings and precedents to be used as a basis for answering requests for legal opinions for the company
  • Handling all legal matters including litigation in liaison with external lawyers for the company;
  • Providing legal advice and ensure compliance with legal  statutory requirements to the company;
  • Reviewing and formulating legal policies,procedures and regulations for the company;
  • Provision of company secretarial duties to the Board of Directors
  • Attending court and relevant registries as and when required to for the company
  • Employing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) procedures in resolving disputes affecting the company

Education,Professional Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Bachelor of Law(LLB) Degree from a recognized university with a current practicing certificate
  • A registered member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe in good standing
  • Have a minimum of 3 years post admission experience in a busy legal department/environment
