JOB ID:JOB0112577 VSO is an international NGO that started operating in 1958. We approach programming with the aid of professional volunteers and youth volunteers. Our vision is 'a world without poverty' and our mission is to bring people to fight poverty and marginalisation. Our volunteers are in three forms which are national, community and international volunteers ( this group is for international volunteers only). The focus of volunteers is to develop the systems and conditions for positive social change. Core programme areas are - inclusive education - health - livelihoods - business and market linkages Volunteers are in placements for a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 12 months. During this stay volunteers are given the following support - accommodation - visa and work permit - flights to and from placement - pre departure medicals - an allowance in the country of placement. the allowance is always the minimum wage of that country /break basket figure. This is called the HCFA - an allowance in your home country e.g you are from Zimbabwe you will get the 2nd allowance in your Zimbabwean  account. This is called the ICFA - medical aid in country of placement - vaccines before departure Requirements - police clearance during interview process - laptop to use during placement (some countries provide)  Applications are open for two categories - country specific positions - generic positions - these will be waiting to receive funding and candidates will be pulled into a pipeline and once funding is confirmed they can be matched. Qualifications

  • Min of a  bachelors degree and 5 years working experience in the desired role.
